If we can come up with a best practice that also accounts for different 
contexts, such as call-to-action links being styled so that they're 
attention-grabbing, and avoid some "never styles links beyond what the 
browser default is", I'm all ears :)

(and my comment regarding speech recognition users saying "click X" 
without even needing to specify what they think a control is - link, or 
button, or custom control - also still stands)
