Hi Marc, > So is there anywhere specified if placeholder has to be considered for > calculating the accessible names of form inputs - or not? According to HTML-AMM https://www.w3.org/TR/html-aam-1.0/#input-type-text-input-type-password-input-type-search-input-type-tel-input-type-email-input-type-url-and-textarea-element-accessible-name-computation a placeholder can be used to calculate an accessible name. I'm not sure whether that works in all screen readers/browsers, though. You would also have to consider success criterion 3.3.2. Jan
