Sortable grid instructions

Hello,

I am auditing a page that contains a sortable grid. The top of the page contains information as to what will happen once the sort buttons are clicked.

For example:

  * Activating the Store Number, Store Name, Street, City, and Zip buttons once will sort the Store search results in ascending order by the button that was activated.
  * Activating the Store Number, Store Name, Street, City, and Zip buttons again will sort the Store search results in descending order by the button that was activated.

Further down there is a heading right above the grid that states how the results are sorted. For example: Store Search Results (Sorted by Store Number : Ascending)

My question is are the directions on what the buttons will do once activated necessary? These instructions where included according to G13: Describing what will happen before a change to a form control that causes a change of context to occur is made<https://www.w3.org/TR/2016/NOTE-WCAG20-TECHS-20161007/G13.html>.

Thanks.
