The European Union has done a lot of work in this area – see https://ec.europa.eu/inea/en/horizon-2020/smart-cities-communities also https://ec.europa.eu/isa2/events/connected-smart-cities-conference-2018_en Regards Richard www.userite.com From: Catherine Roy Sent: Tuesday, September 17, 2019 10:56 PM To: w3c-wai-ig@w3.org Subject: Resources on smart cities accessibility and people with disabilities Hi folks, apologies if this message might seem slightly off-topic although I believe that it is related to web and digital accessibility. So I’m putting together an online directory of resources on anything to do with people with disabilities and smart cities (see Wikipedia for definition https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smart_city). Whether it’s standards or guidelines or use cases, studies, action plans, articles, white papers, consultations, pilot projects, blogs, videos, testimonials, etc., etc. They can be local resources, national, international, all can be included. What are your favourite resources? Or what type of resources do you find are lacking? All suggestions are welcomed. You can reply off list if you prefer. Thanks in advance :) Catherine -- Catherine Roy www.catherine-roy.net
