Make sure the JFW setting for adjust speaking based on language is set. You can get to it with ins+v if it is not set, it will not switch languages. If it is set, it uses a different TTS language. The image link can be found on the Mayo Clinic Proceedings home page <https://mayoclinicproceedings.com/> . Look under the heading level 2 with text Stamp Vignette. The graphic is a German postage stamp honoring cardiologist Werner Forssmann. The stamp contains a picture of Werner, a medical image, and some German text for the value of the stamp, etc. My thought is to wrap the <img> tag with a <div lang="DE"> Wondering if anyone can confirm this approach below is sound and if not providing an alternative technique. When I tested this using JAWS 17 the alt text was not announced in what I consider a German accent. Thanks, Ted
