Dear WAI Interest Group Participants, The Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (AG WG) has published an updated Working Draft of Accessibility Conformance Testing (ACT) Rules Format 1.0: https://www.w3.org/TR/act-rules-format/ *Changes* This updated working draft of Accessibility Conformance Testing (ACT) Rules Format 1.0 addresses all comments received on the previous draft. Most importantly, the "Selector" approach was replaced with "Applicability" and "Expectation" pairs, to make ACT Rules less procedural. This updated draft is accompanied by sample ACT Rules that implement this rules format: https://w3c.github.io/wcag-act-rules/ *Background* The Accessibility Conformance Testing (ACT) Rules Format 1.0 specifies a common format for accessibility test rules, and how to write test procedures for quality assurance. It facilitates harmonization of accessibility testing approaches, and helps organizations to better document and share their testing methods. It primarily addresses developers of automated and semi-automated evaluation tools, and also supports manual evaluation procedures. *Comments* To comment, the Working Group requests input be filed as GitHub issues at: https://github.com/w3c/wcag-act/issues/ Please create new issues for your comments, putting each separate topic into a separate issue. If it is not feasible for you to file issues in this tool, you can also submit comments by email to: public-wcag-act-comments@w3.org The Working Group requests comments on this draft be filed by 5 April 2018. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your comments.
