The Accessibility Guidelines Working Group has published Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 as a Candidate Recommendation: https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG21/ Publication as a Candidate Recommendation indicates that the Working Group believes it has addressed sufficient substantive issues and that the document is ready for trial implementations. During the Candidate Recommendation period, the Working Group will conduct implementation testing by testing Web sites for conformance to WCAG 2.1, in order to determine that it is possible to conform to the new success criteria (as a group and individually), and thereby validate implementability of the guidelines. If you wish to submit a site for consideration in this evaluation, please submit them to group-ag-chairs@w3.org <mailto:group-ag-chairs@w3.org>. More information about this publication and next steps are available in the blog post: https://www.w3.org/blog/2018/01/wcag21-cr/ <https://www.w3.org/blog/2018/01/wcag21-cr/> There are some changes since the last Working Draft, and some features at risk. Candidate Recommendation testing will proceed quickly, so comments are requested by *30 March 2018*. If you have comments, we prefer that you file input as new issues in GitHub at: https://github.com/w3c/wcag21/issues/ Alternatively, you can send email to: public-agwg-comments@w3.org <mailto:public-agwg-comments@w3.org> Additional background on WCAG 2.1 is available from previous announcements: * WCAG 2.1 description: https://www.w3.org/blog/2017/02/wcag21-fpwd/ * Announcement to this list: https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-ig/2017JanMar/0277.html * Timeline: https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/WCAG_2.1_timeline More information about the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group is available from its home page: https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/ Regards, Andrew Kirkpatrick, Accessibility Guidelines WG Chair, Joshue O Connor, Accessibility Guidelines WG Chair, Michael Cooper, Accessibility Guidelines WG W3C Staff Contact
