He gave a presentation on his results at Accessing Higher Ground last year - roughly: there's work to do but it isn't a complete mess. I have done occasional testing with it too. It's a big job for a moderately complex bit of software - you need to know WCAG backwards or it takes forever looking things up, and knowing the software reasonably well is important. I know of others over the years who have done this sort of thing.
