I appreciate the distinction, and I think this a worthy item for
consideration in the MAUR update.

As to the difficulty of achieving a good result, I believe that there
might be an automatable solution when time data (via either TTML or
WebVT) is available  when both captions and texted video descriptions
are present. We did not explore this during MAUR 1.0, but I think we can
add such a consideration now.
