RE: Are word forms accessible?

Thanks Bob.
These are internal letter templates and available only in word format. Templates will be used to create new letters/ memos etc. I haven't heard of emacspeak but I will browse for more information. Thank you.

The issues that I have are:
1. The headings, page titles and any instruction text in the document are not announced by JAWS if editing restrictions (editing allowed in filling forms) are applied. According to Freedom Scientific , users should be aware of other cursor options (e.g. JAWS cursor) to access such information.
Since this is a letter template and not a form to collect user information I don't think this approach will help us.

2. JAWS reads previous field's Default text before reading the field in focus.

Regards,
Madhavi.

is this a government form or public document.

needs to be crossplatform. not limited to Word unless you provide word to
the users.
