Mouse pointer change of state accessibility question

Hi All,

I've been trying to find information relating to button accessibility on the WCAG website [see attached screenshot], and I can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. My question is this:

Is a website button A & AA compliant if there is only a slight color [background] change as well as a mouse pointer [arrow to finger shape] change when you hover over the button before clicking on it? Is that sufficient?

I understand that I will need to have keyboard focus visible if people choose to use the keyboard to navigate the website, however my question is specifically around only the mouse pointer change used with a slight color [background] change - will that pass A & AA accessibility standards?

Best Regards, Christine
