PDF Repair: MS Word: Switching Among Human Languages

Hi,
Does anyone understand how controlling document passages in MS Word works and what information from a Word doc regarding languages gets picked up by the conversion process when using the Acrobat Pro XI conversion facility? I have a document that needs to be made accessible, as in, define the default language for the document and several passages are in other languages, so the document needs to trigger the speech synthesizer to switch among languages. And I want to know if I'm wasting my time doing this in Word, or if that information will carry over to Acrobat Pro XI.
