Dear friends and colleagues:

Today Weight Watchers announced its digital and print accessibility initiative covering its websites, iOS mobile apps, and print materials. Direct links are:

press release: http://lflegal.com/2013/06/weight-watchers-press/

settlement agreement: http://lflegal.com/2013/06/weight-watchers-agreement/

Weight Watchers is using WCAG 2.0 Level AA for web and mobile app enhancements, and providing print materials in Braille, Large Print and Audio. Weight Watchers has been a great partner in Structured Negotiations with the ACB and blind Weight Watchers members. Linda Dardarian, of the Oakland civil rights firm Goldstein, Borgen, Dardarian & Ho, and I represented the blind community.

As always, questions and feedback welcomed,

Lainey
