free Accessibility events in DC Oct 13 & LA Oct 20

Hello.

Registration is open for two free events on digital accessibility taking
place in October. The first is the fourth Accessibility Camp D.C. on
Saturday October 13 http://accesscampdc12.eventbrite.com. The second is
one I am co-leading, the first Accessibility Camp Los Angeles on Saturday
October 20 http://www.accessibilitycampla.org.

The premise for both events is the same, to bring members of the design,
development, usability, accessibility, related IT communities, and users
with disabilities together to discuss all aspects of digital
accessibility, from technical to tactical. There is no assumed level of
knowledge on the topic, and the mood of the day is deliberately informal.
Attendees either come to present on a topic, and/or to learn from each
other.

I am especially excited to be bringing accessibility camp to southern
California, and to help with efforts in raising awareness on the subject
among the tech community in the L.A. area. To that end, if you know
individuals who live in the Southland who have either a professional or
personal interest in digital accessibility, please help spread the word. I
do have prepared text which I am happy to share. E-mail
a11ycampla@gmail.com.

There's background on these camp events at
http://www.accessibilitycamp.org and at
