Dear WAI Interest Group, WAI invites you to participate in the following sessions with WAI staff at ICCHP in Linz, Austria, on 11-13 July. * W3C WAI Update and Q&A on Web Accessibility Wednesday 11 July, 14:00-16:00, Room: K 012 D Details: http://www.icchp.org/node/401 Note: *ICCHP registration is not required to attend this meeting.* In this interactive session we will provide an update on recent and upcoming work at the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), including the WAI-ACT Project <http://www.w3.org/WAI/ACT/> and: - Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM) <http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG-EM/> - Research and Development Symposia <http://www.w3.org/WAI/techpapers.html> - Mobile accessibility developments - Work on Independent User Interface (Indie UI) specifications to develop a way for user actions to be communicated to web applications, which will make it easier for web applications to work with a wide range of devices, including assistive technologies (AT) - Updated education, outreach, and training material We will answer your questions, and discuss new opportunities for you to be involved in WAI, such as the WAI-Engage W3C Community Group <http://www.w3.org/community/wai-engage/>.
