Roger, some time ago I asked a similar question. For the US, Section 508 (based on WCAG 1.0) is the legal entity our developments have to be based on and from the answers I've received back then, it seems like it will take some years until 508 is harmonized with WCAG 2.0. I summarized this topic on my blog: http://www.mgitsolutions.com/blog/2009/01/section-508-wcag-10-or-wcag-20/ Thanks Mike ________________________________________ From: w3c-wai-ig-request@w3.org [w3c-wai-ig-request@w3.org] On Behalf Of Roger Hudson [rhudson@usability.com.au] Sent: Saturday, June 13, 2009 4:44 PM To: 'WAI Interest Group' Subject: wcag2 adoption Hi I am interested in finding out which countries or other regulatory authorities have adopted or endorsed WCAG 2 as the bench mark for web accessibility. Failing this has anyone any idea of how many entities have adopted WCAG 2.
