That's one update I'll look forward to reading since I'm also a JD and am still an active member of the California Bar even if I no longer live in that state. Cheryl D. By the way, an updated version of our book - "Constructing Accessible Web Sites" - is expected to be published this summer by Apress that includes further information about this U.S. issue. It also includes an entire chapter devoted to my research on accessible web design laws and policies around the world. I have identified at least 25 countries that have adopted accessible web design as law or policy and discuss the implementation of these efforts. It was very interesting to find the various quality marks, badges or labels being utilized - not to mention the civil and/or criminal liabilities that have been legislated! Sincerely, Cynthia Waddell Chair, International Commission on Technology and Accessibility for North America, a standing commission of RI
