Thursday, November 3 is World Usability Day. Since Ottawa is an internationally recognized hot spot for usability, the press and the public is invited to Carleton University to celebrate and see how local usability experts are "making things easier to use" in academic, government and industry settings. The Carleton event is part of a worldwide series of World Usability Day events, organized by the Usability Professionals' Association that will promote awareness of the benefits of usability engineering and user-centered design, and every consumer's responsibility to ask for things that work better. To see other events worldwide on World Usability Day, including webcasts, visit http://worldusabilityday.org At Carleton University on November 3, people will experience: * Official showcase opening and short, enlightening talk on usability from a high-profile speaker (to be named later).
