sorry, I should be more clear on this. when using the unix console remotely, you would use it via a screen reader on another system. I suppose if one were to set up the mac to boot to terminal and emacs speak were available for it that it would work just fine. As I understand it though, emacs speak is a desktop for unix so I don't know how this plays out.
