> ATutor 1.2 (Learning Content Management System) > [accessible, adaptive, open source, learning content management] > ATutor 1.2 has been released, an Open Source Web-based Learning Content Management System (LCMS) designed to be accessible to assistive technology users, and adaptable to a diverse range of learning styles and skills. Visit our Web site for complete information, demos, and downloads, or read on for an overview of ATutor, and for a description of what's new in this release and what we're working on. I took a quick look (reference page: http://www.atutor.ca/atutor/demo/index.php?g=30 ) in Lynx and it didn't look too bad. However, the page is laid out with tables and has a considerable amount of deprecated markup - I didn't think that you could even have a <b> tag in XHTML. I'd suggest that the authors do a few checks with a validation tool (I ran the reference page through AccessValet) to see what needs attention. I applaud, however, developers who release products as Open Source, especially when they use my favourite database (MySQL).
