List management: instructions for creating successful filter in Outlook

After lots of experimentation, I finally discovered how to create a filter for the numerous (but mostly imformative and thought provoking) messages from this list.

As the principle of these instructions can work for most email clients, I hope this can put an end to this OT thread.

The instructions were tested on Microsft Outlook 98.

I promise you, the filter works if you follow these instructions exactly. However I offer no guarantee and will not enter into private correspondance on this.

Good luck!

11. Click on "specified" in the "Rule description window" (located just above the wizard navigation buttons)
12. Select the folder you have created. For these instructions, this is "w3c accessibility" (without the quotation marks) located just off the Inbox
13. Click "ok"
14. Click "next"
15. Click "next" again so there are no exceptions to this rule
16. Supply a name for this rule, or accept the default title suggested by the writer of this wizard code
17. Click on "finish"
