Dona, 

Try not to take people on list-servs too personally. Your questions and the
responses that come back help everyone. Even if the execution is crude, the
ultimate intention is to help you. Every list I have ever subscribed to on
any topic has gurus subscribed to it that help others willingly, and other
gurus subscribed to it that enjoy belittling other's lack of experience. In
my experience, the former is much more rare.
