Might I suggest the use of browser detection (whether server- or client-side) which if triggered would result in the following notice: "Your browser was not built to web standards. While practically all browsers fail to conform to the standards to some extent your browser deliberately fails to conform to them in an attempt to take the web out of the hands of its users and into the hands of a single money-making organisation. As such we didn't go to much effort to make it work in your browser and frankly don't care if the whole thing breaks." I wouldn't suggest this for a corporate site, but such a political point could have a place on a personal site, or a site which was intended in whole or in part to promote such a view.
