actually, if you mark a chart up appropriately in excell, the screen readers of today will work just fine with it. I tried to download their evaluation version but the form was not marked up propperly and then it said something about right clicking on the appropriate element. They are off to a great start. They should also bear in mind that their software meeds to be accessible as well as their web site but their web site is exempt from 508. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peach Lynda L Contr 96 CG/SCTOA" <lynda.peach@eglin.af.mil> To: <w3c-wai-ig@w3.org> Sent: Wednesday, April 18, 2001 2:07 PM Subject: Re www.popchart.com -- 508-compliant solution for data-driven gra phics I received the following info this morning in email. Price is fairly steep but it might do what you are needing. CORDA Technologies has released a solution that allow the visually impaired to "see" charts and graphs. PopChart [D] is the first product to automatically make charts and graphs compliant with section 508 of the Federal Accessibility Act.
