There is a developer, Giorgio Brajnik mailto:giorgio@dimi.uniud.i, who, among other things, has come up with a very good accessibility extension for Dreamweaver, but I do not believe that it will be available until next month. It check and corrects I think, in WCAG 1 as well as Section 508 for US. It has customizable parameters. He may be joining the Authoring Tools or User Agents WG.
