LF:: "...there is more than room for another list on the topic, don't you think?" WL: For a variety of reasons IMHO the answer to that is "NO"! There are several reasons for that attitude on my part not the least of which is that I now subscribe to way too many lists in this field and the information is too often found on almost all of them. I won't go into detail on this and beg you to take my word for it. Between Webwatch and all the WAI lists, my plate is way too full - sorry, but that's just a fact. Many attempts to start lists specializing in various details of the Disability Rights Movement, the technical aspects of hardware/software for PWDs, the updates on changes therein, have fallen by the wayside from lack of someone to run them and interested participants. YAAL (yet another accessibility list) is just unwarranted and also divisive of efforts. But go ahead and start one - it's simple, but not easy.
