Hi Everyone, A few members of our group have taken on an update to the WCAG Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM). They have a new draft for review. Key goals for this update are: 1. Make it agnostic to what sort of product is evaluated. Version 1.0 is specifically about testing websites and web pages, version 2.0 is agnostic to what you're testing, and introduces the notion of 'digital product' to make that work, as well as ‘samples’ + ‘sample set’ and 'views' (from latest WCAG 3 “developing” definition), 2. Bring it up to date. This includes removing references to WCAG 2.* (using WCAG 2 instead where possible, like in WCAG 3 style guide), fixing dead links, new graphics, updating simplifying some of the content to make it more readable while making the same point. The following provide links to the various relevant files: * Existing WCAG-EM 1.0<https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG-EM/> * Updated draft WCAG-EM 2.0<https://w3c.github.io/wai-wcag-em/> * Diff of the component markdown files<https://github.com/w3c/wai-wcag-em/commit/0ec06bb41aeece3f4b533a85a12a845305700767> We have not provided a diff between the two final documents as the differences in format would make it much harder to use. The goal is to publish this as a draft for wide review following TPAC. Please do review the material and raise issues<https://github.com/w3c/wai-wcag-em/issues> in the github repo. We will run a CFC for this next week, assuming major issues are not raised.
