Just to pick up on this one bit, which struck me as perhaps a bit too 
aspirational: for a new person, scribing is a potentially daunting task, 
as they'll likely lack sufficient familiarity with the topics (if 
they're deeply technical) to easily summarise/paraphrase things.

I'll admit that I absolutely detest scribing myself, purely because I 
find it impossible to then also think/engage in discussion at the same 
time ... simply means that I'm having to sit out any discussions simply 
because I'm too busy trying to minute/scribe. And that's just me being a 
general scatterbrain ...
