Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
[This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group Chairs]

This is a Call for Review of a proposed recharter for the Accessibility
Guidelines Working Group:
https://www.w3.org/2022/10/proposed-ag-charter

Please review the charter and indicate your support using this online form:
https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/33280/2022-ag-charter/

The deadline for responses is 04:59 UTC on 2022-12-03 (23:59, Boston
time on 2022-12-02) [1].

The proposed new charter focuses primarily on development of WCAG 3.0.

The current AG WG charter [2] is extended by up to 6 months, to 30 April
2023. Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 is now a Candidate
Recommendation. This extension is to allow the Working Group to keep the
work focused and productive, to advance WCAG 2.2 to Recommendation under
its current charter.

The proposed team resource for the group is 0.5 FTE.

The Advisory Committee Representatives of current participants will need
to have their organizations re-join the group if the new charter is
approved.

A diff from the current charter is available [3].

More information about the group can be found on its home page [4],
including information about group Chairs, Team Contacts, and
instructions for joining the group.

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact
Michael Cooper, Accessibility Guidelines Working Group Team Contact, at
cooper@w3.org.

This charter review and extension follow sections 4.3 and 4.5 of the W3C
Process Document:
https://www.w3.org/2021/Process-20211102/#CharterReview
https://www.w3.org/2021/Process-20211102/#charter-extension
