Having a trawl through my PRs, I also stumbled across this - which was 
surveyed at some point, but in its state at the time did not get 
consensus, but was left open for future discussion.

* Errata/clarification of 2.2.1 Timing Adjustable extension 

This should either be surveyed again/discussed, or closed. Either way, 
it's currently hanging there in limbo.
