Hi everyone, There were a few questions about the update to the AAA version we surveyed here: https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/35422/wcag22-focus-appearance-enhanced/results#xq1 I just wanted to do a quick line-by-line on the changes/alignment, comparing the min to enhanced version. Most of the mis-alignment is in the size bullet, there is a second option there if people prefer that. 1st line: Min: "When user interface components receive keyboard focus, all of the following are true:" Enh: "When user interface components have keyboard focus, all of the following are true:" Differences: received to "have", making it a higher requirement. Min area bullet: Min: The focus indicator area is either: * at least as large as the area of a 1 CSS pixel thick perimeter of the unfocused component; * at least as large as a 4 CSS pixels border along the shortest side of the unfocused component, and no thinner than 2 CSS pixels. Enh: "The focus indicator area is greater than or equal to a 2 CSS pixel solid border around the component." Differences: * Removed the second sub-bullet, raising the requirement. * Left the "is greater than or equal to" as it was, thinking that the requirement is more blunt, so it was ok. * Left "solid", just for emphasis. * Left "border around" as with a width of 2px, you don't have the same math issues. If people would prefer more alignment, then I'd suggest: "The focus indicator area is at least as large as the area of a 2 CSS pixel thick perimeter of the unfocused component;" However, the question is then: Does a 2px perimeter mean inside the element or outside? (Because you can't fit 2px on the perimeter.) Change of contrast bullet: Min: "The pixels making up the minimum focus indicator area achieve at least a 3:1 contrast ratio between their colors in the focused and unfocused states." Enh: "The pixels making up the minimum focus indicator area achieve at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio between their colors in the focused and unfocused states." Differences: Just the contrast level number. Adjacent contrast bullet: This is not included in the AAA version, as the AA version is "The pixels in the minimum focus indicator area achieve at least a 3:1 against adjacent colors in the focused component or the minimum focus indicator area has a thickness of at least 2 CSS pixels." The 2px thickness is met so the bullet is not needed. Not obscured bullet: Min: "The item with focus is not entirely hidden by author-created content." Enh: "No part of the focus indicator is hidden by author-created content." Differences: increased the requirement to 'no part' and making the target the 'focus indicator' rather than the element.
