Re: WCAG 2.2 status - Dragging

Alastair / all,

See https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/L33FCNW a drag drop solution for lists usable with keys + single pointer.

Please note the survey will disappear soon! (so we need to make one ourselves?!)

Cheers,
Jake

Thanks Jake,

It seems we’re still looking for the perfect all-around solution.

For each of these, I was looking for:

  1. Does it work with a simple-tap interaction?
  2. Could it work with a simple-tap interaction with some reasonable adjustment?

This goes into a keyboard up/down mode, so:

  1. No.
  2. Perhaps, if it worked by selecting an item and then swapped with the next one you tapped, but that would need instructions or something? Otherwise I think a completely different approach would be needed.

Same as above.

  1. No.
  2. Possibly, if you tap the object to select, and tap the place where it should drop.

https://salesforce-ux.github.io/dnd-a11y-patterns/#/bucket?_k=l6f7im

  1. Yes, but only for moving between columns, not for ordering with a column.
  2. Possibly, by swapping between items, as above.

Any which work with a tap approach as well?

Cheers,
