I also noticed a recent iOS update for 13.3 mentioned USB/lighting FIDO2 support. https://www.macrumors.com/2019/11/12/ios-13-3-fido2-security-key-support-safari/ Jonathan From: Bruce Bailey <Bailey@Access-Board.gov> Sent: Thursday, December 19, 2019 9:31 AM To: WCAG list (w3c-wai-gl@w3.org) <w3c-wai-gl@w3.org> Cc: 508 <508@Access-Board.gov> Subject: RE: Accessible Authentication CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Yesterday I learned of IRS funded research project looking at "Accessible Authentication for All". Their work is new to me. I pasted a link into the Google Doc below, and here it is as well: Usability of Biometric Authentication Methods for Citizens with Disabilities<http://www.mitre.org/publications/technical-papers/usability-of-biometric-authentication-methods-citizens-disabilities> (Mitre Corporation, under grant to IRS, Sept. 2019). I will be following up with them to see if someone there might be willing to help with this SC. [[Apologies for the "safelinks" embeds in the URLs below. Blah blah blah security blah blah blah. I've updated my survey response, meaning that my name is now at the bottom of the list: https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/35422/accessible-auth/results<https://nam01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2002%2F09%2Fwbs%2F35422%2Faccessible-auth%2Fresults&data=02%7C01%7Cbailey%40access-board.gov%7Cd552dec345104950702008d77dd1bd1e%7Cfc6093f5e55e4f93b2cf26d0822201c9%7C0%7C0%7C637116212085516838&sdata=AJAYA0WmhnDaH7jGuy228vXkHKUL3Mh41Z7qgWiwecM%3D&reserved=0> John & I think everything has been addressed, but it would be great if people who have answered previously could update, and anyone else could read through and note any issues in the survey. We do need at least one technique, so volunteers for that would be welcome, but there is at least an example procedure, and several technique examples/titles listed. Kind regards, -Alastair
