+1 Here are a few editorial suggestions, I think in general it needs a full read for grammar. Here's a couple I noticed in a quick read. Note a typo in section 3.1 example 3 MUST NOST should be "MUST NOT" 4.8 Example of a rule that checks if aria-errormessage is used <add>to</add> satisfy WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.3 Status messages : *Recommendation* 4.7 "...If there are no test targets, the outcome for the rule is inapplicable . ..." I suggest the term "not applicable" (or "nonapplicable" rather than "inapplicable" so the common short form "N/A" can be used. https://textranch.com/145717/is-not-applicable/or/is-inapplicable/ https://wikidiff.com/nonapplicable/inapplicable Cheers, David MacDonald *Can**Adapt* *Solutions Inc.* Tel: 613-806-9005 LinkedIn <http://www.linkedin.com/in/davidmacdonald100> twitter.com/davidmacd GitHub <https://github.com/DavidMacDonald> www.Can-Adapt.com <http://www.can-adapt.com/> * Adapting the web to all users* * Including those with disabilities* If you are not the intended recipient, please review our privacy policy <http://www.davidmacd.com/disclaimer.html> On Wed, Jul 17, 2019 at 2:11 PM Alastair Campbell <acampbell@nomensa.com> wrote: > Call For Consensus — ends Friday 19th at 2pm Boston time. > > The Working Group has discussed the publication of the ACT Rules format > 1.0, transitioning from Candidate Recommendation to Proposed Recommendation. > > This call is for approval of publishing the Rules Format 1.0. > > ACT Rules Format editors' draft: > https://w3c.github.io/wcag-act/act-rules-format.html > Diff between editors' draft and CR: > https://services.w3.org/htmldiff?doc1=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2FTR%2F2019%2FCR-act-rules-format-1.0-20190416%2F&doc2=https%3A%2F%2Fw3c.github.io%2Fwcag-act%2Fact-rules-format.html > Implementation report: > https://w3c.github.io/wcag-act/act-implementations.html > > Call minutes: https://www.w3.org/2019/07/16-ag-minutes.html#item01 > > If you have concerns about this proposed consensus position that have not > been discussed already and feel that those concerns result in you “not > being able to live with” this decision, please let the group know before > the CfC deadline. > > > Kind regards, > > -Alastair > > -- > > www.nomensa.com / @alastc >
