So we have some examples which appear to rule-out a “any non-reflowing pre is a fail”, as there are essential uses of formatting that also encode meaning. (More examples are still welcome.) However, the field is still very open for sufficient techniques which show non-essential examples being done in a way that reflows (such as the pre-wrap for code examples).
