Dear Chairs, I respectfully request a survey to help clarify Issue 682 (Revisiting Transcripts and Audio Description) into concrete proposals. Please see: http://github.com/w3c/wcag/issues/782 The questions I would like to see on survey are: 1. Should transcripts be required for prerecorded synchronized media at either Level A or Level AA? * No, but I can live with a change. * No, and I oppose any change for 2.2 * Yes, and I am open to transcripts being Level A or AA * Yes, but only if transcripts are Level A * Yes, but only if transcripts are Level AA 2. Should we consider requiring AD for live events at AAA? By "transcript", I (of course) mean a textual alternative for time-based media, per the WCAG definition. Please do NOT (yet) survey for how to best address (1) and (2) above, as I think we first need to decide if there even should be a change. Thank you!
