Not trying to be cute, but +0.5, and only because Makoto has indicated that he does not believe this will be an issue. (i.e. I can live with this - barely). I remain disappointed that the vertical and width values do not maintain any kind of aspect ratio, and suggesting that this is primarily intended for "desktop" ignores the blurring today between desktop, laptop and mobile form factors. In all of these form factors however, screens remain relatively similar with regard to height/width ratios, and I continue to believe we've not accounted for that properly. Any screen that supports "pinch-to-zoom" will do so proportionally, respecting the H/W ratio. (i.e. you cannot decrease the usable width without also decreasing the usable height, in either landscape or portrait modes) JF On Thu, Jan 18, 2018 at 12:32 PM, David MacDonald <david100@sympatico.ca> wrote: > +1 > > Cheers, > David MacDonald > > > > *Can**Adapt* *Solutions Inc.* > > Tel: 613.235.4902 <(613)%20235-4902> > > LinkedIn > <http://www.linkedin.com/in/davidmacdonald100> > > twitter.com/davidmacd > > GitHub <https://github.com/DavidMacDonald> > > www.Can-Adapt.com <http://www.can-adapt.com/> > > > > * Adapting the web to all users* > * Including those with disabilities* > > If you are not the intended recipient, please review our privacy policy > <http://www.davidmacd.com/disclaimer.html> > > On Thu, Jan 18, 2018 at 10:29 AM, Jim Allan <jimallan@tsbvi.edu> wrote: > >> +1 >> >> On Wed, Jan 17, 2018 at 8:45 PM, Andrew Kirkpatrick <akirkpat@adobe.com> >> wrote: >> >>> Call For Consensus — ends Friday January 19th at 9:00pm Boston time. >>> >>> >>> >>> The Working Group has discussed responses to the following issue: >>> >>> 674: (https://github.com/w3c/wcag21/issues/674) >>> >>> >>> >>> Response to Issue 674: https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL >>> /wiki/Draft_Responses_to_Dec_WD_Issues#674 >>> >>> >>> >>> Changes to the Reflow SC are here: https://github.com/w3c/wcag21/ >>> pull/740 >>> >>> The Changes can be viewed here: http://rawgit.com/alastc/wcag2 >>> 1/reflow/guidelines/index.html#reflow >>> >>> >>> >>> If you have concerns about this proposed consensus position that have >>> not been discussed already and feel that those concerns result in you “not >>> being able to live with” this decision, please let the group know before >>> the CfC deadline. >>> >>> >>> >>> Thanks, >>> >>> AWK >>> >>> >>> >>> Andrew Kirkpatrick >>> >>> Group Product Manager, Accessibility >>> >>> Adobe >>> >>> >>> >>> akirkpat@adobe.com >>> >>> http://twitter.com/awkawk >>> <https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2Fawkawk&data=02%7C01%7C%7C54093524ef264326424008d51cd66c05%7Cfa7b1b5a7b34438794aed2c178decee1%7C0%7C0%7C636446629619786436&sdata=c5UP0xiniJIppvd6Esu1XA%2FbX1ykpABkhgCCmBp%2Fht8%3D&reserved=0> >>> >>> >>> >>> >>> >> >> >> >> -- >> Jim Allan, Accessibility Coordinator >> Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired >> 1100 W. 45th St., Austin, Texas 78756 >> <https://maps.google.com/?q=1100+W.+45th+St.,+Austin,+Texas+78756&entry=gmail&source=g> >> voice 512.206.9315 <(512)%20206-9315> fax: 512.206.9452 >> <(512)%20206-9452> http://www.tsbvi.edu/ >> "We shape our tools and thereafter our tools shape us."
