RE: CFC - Response to issue 634 and 663 on Pointer Gestures

The change to the definition of “single pointer” breaks the Pointer Cancellation SC, so I cannot live with it. That criterion needs to be clear to include anything you can do with a mouse or a single finger, not just at one location.

Subject: CFC - Response to issue 634 and 663 on Pointer Gestures
Importance: High

Call For Consensus — ends Tuesday January 16th at 11:59pm Boston time.

The Working Group has discussed responses to the following issues:
634: (https://github.com/w3c/wcag21/issues/634)
663: (https://github.com/w3c/wcag21/issues/663)

Response to Issue 634: https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Draft_Responses_to_Dec_WD_Issues#634

Response to Issue 663: https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Draft_Responses_to_Dec_WD_Issues#663

The changes to the SC are implemented in this pull request: https://github.com/w3c/wcag21/pull/731

The changed SC can be viewed here: http://rawgit.com/w3c/wcag21/pointer_gestures_update/guidelines/index.html#pointer-gestures (and “single pointer” definition)

If you have concerns about this proposed consensus position that have not been discussed already and feel that those concerns result in you “not being able to live with” this decision, please let the group know before the CfC deadline.

Thanks,
AWK
