Responding to new comments

AGWGer’s,
In order for the WG to respond to comments submitted on the draft and make sure that communications in response to the issue is clear regarding when it is coming from the WG we are asking that people are being very careful about responding to issues in GitHub. It may be easiest to not respond at all until the WG has a response.

For each issue that you would like to help the WG formulate a response to, please do the following:

  1. Assign the issue to yourself – there can be more than one person that an issue is assigned to
  2. Go to https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Draft_Responses_to_Dec_WD_Issues and draft a response there. Do not respond to the issue in GitHub.
  3. When you have a response that you feel is ready for the WG to review, ping the chairs.

The WG will review the responses, and once approved we will send the responses out. If the WG needs more information or have questions for the commenter, the WG will identify what needs to be clarified.

Part of the goal here is to keep each item focused on one thing and to not allow the discussion to diverge to other topics. The chairs may also ask a commenter to break one multipart comment into several discrete comments.

Thanks,
AWK
