I've not been available because I'm tied up training clients these last couple of weeks. I've been reading all of the minutes and following the action... As one of the authors of Change of Content, I've been following that particularly closely. AWK posted an iteration that I approve of in the minutes. " For content which does not take focus and which dynamically updates as a result of user action or application status changes, notification of changes to content can be programmatically determined by user agents, including assistive technologies. " I think "application status changes"... will be fine as long as it includes any changes to the content generated by the content. There had some discussion of making adding visible confirmation of successful completion, in which case it might look something like this: " For content which does not take focus and which dynamically updates as a result of user action or application status changes, notification of changes to content can be programmatically determined by user agents, including assistive technologies, except for notifications of success or failure of a user action, which are *also* presented in visible text. " This is an attempt to weave in part of an old COGA SC Issue #54 into it. Although, I can live with the current wording.
