Greetings all! A quick note to confirm that we are a GO for Monday evening's dinner. Thanks for all that responded to the survey. Based upon the group feedback, and taking other factors into consideration (such as how far we stray from the Hyatt Regency hotel , price, and dietary needs ) , I have made reservations for our group (current number = 14) at *New World Cafe* *, 833 Mahler Rd #10, Burlingame, CA 94010*. Our reservation is for *7:00 PM*, and is under my name. They don't appear to have a website, but they *are* recommended highly on Trip Advisor, and the restaurant is a short 8 minute walk (2 minutes by car) from the Hyatt, and features an intere sting Peruvian, Latin, International menu (including some vegan/vegetarian options). I believe however that they are NOT licensed, so if anyone wants wine or beer, I think you need to bring your own (One review at Trip Advisor suggested this isn't an issue - I will confirm before Monday evening) When I called to learn more about their vegan options, I ended up speaking with the chef directly, and he indicated he can work with us (this is, apparently, a scratch kitchen of sorts) so folks with dietary needs will hopefully be well accomodated. I'm also going to trust the Trip Advisor 5 star review here <smile> (see: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g32124-d10489892-Reviews-New_World_Cafe-Burlingame_California.html ) Note: we *can* include more folks around the table, but I need to advise the restaurant in advance as space is limited there. Deadline for final head-count will need to be lunch-time Monday. For those of you travelling to California over the next few days, safe travels one and all, and looking forward to seeing everyone next week!
