Comment about SMIL

Group,
We received a comment about the SMIL techniques being removed.  I think that the main uses of SMIL being advocated for in the techniques (ability to add captions and audio descriptions to video) are generally being handled in other ways now.

Does anyone use SMIL now, and what for?
