Seriously though, if the group wasn’t able to reach consensus on this, what
it would take is that someone would need to get general agreement and
submit a pull request that included the agreed-on changes.  In theory it
shouldn’t be difficult, but we have far more important priorities
especially considering that the technique isn’t even incorrect at present,
so if it isn’t trivially easy we may not get to it.
