There must have been a lot of discussion on this and we cannot just say that it does not apply.
There would have to be a revision to WCAG 2.0 for this to be removed, I’m sure.
For now, until WCAG Next arrives, I will leave it as part of my training material and cover it under 1.3.3.
At the moment, the proposal is that the next version of WCAG will extend (but not change) the existing guidelines and success criteria. Anything requiring normative changes to the success criteria as currently written would be a matter for the subsequent version, not the next version, unless the Charter of this working group is changed to open up WCAG to changes that go beyond extensions.
