Just as a side note While I was away last week ,my father (who has dementia) got pneumonia. The weather had turned cold and both he and his care giver could not figure out how to change the mode on the "web of things" interface on the heating system. By the time my sister got there to turn it on my father had mild hypothermia. Thank Gd my father has an extensive support system but others do not. The work, of making apps and interfaces usable by our most vulnerable, is urgent. That is not to say that we should not take the time we need to do a good job, and we can only do what we can, but we should also keep in mind that when we add delays we will also add a human cost. All the best (and slightly stressed and overwhelmed...) Lisa Seeman Athena ICT Accessibility Projects LinkedIn, Twitter
