My name is Jonathan Avila and I have recently been invited to participate in the WCAG WG. I started in the field of accessibility in 1999 at the time the first accessibility standards were published. US Section 508 law was not effective at that time and most of my work focused around Section 504 providing accessibility accommodations, configuration, and customized screen reader scripting to people with visual impairments. As Section 508 became effective and gained traction I began to define an evaluation methodology and develop testing tools for accessibility testing with the company I work for SSB BART Group. I have a Computer Science background and have worked with a number of customers to develop accessibility implementations for products and frameworks including those with MSAA and Java Accessibility APIs. I've performed work for many US Federal agencies that cover testing methodology, training, and audits. I've worked with numerous large corporations and smaller entities to make and develop plans to remediate documents, websites, Windows software, Adobe Flash, mobile apps, hardware, video players, and other ICT to be accessible. I'd be happy to contribute in regards to mobile web, mobile software, ARIA, or other HTML, CSS, JavaScript related accessibility efforts. I personally would like to see more techniques that support users with low vision. Best Regards, Jonathan
