Sailesh, We did discuss this, and the technique is advisory. AWK -----Original Message----- From: Sailesh Panchang [mailto:sailesh.panchang@deque.com] Sent: Wednesday, February 12, 2014 9:34 AM To: Andrew Kirkpatrick; w3c-wai-gl@w3.org Subject: Using the track element to provide audio descriptions Ref > http://www.w3.org/2014/02/11-wai-wcag-minutes.html As noted in my survey comments I suggested this technique should be advisory because of absence of widespread user agent support at this time. The technique notes the limited support. I believe, during the meeting yesterday, the latter part of my comment 'because of absence of widespread user agent support at this time. ' was not considered. So I never said 'placing audio descriptions for video content' is good practice or advisory. It is an SC requirement. Thanks and regards, Sailesh
