Hello All, 1. I modified the aria-role / aria-live technique based on feedback on Jan 21. A couple of members (after the call on Jan 21) wanted a more complete example ... so I added #3. I had suggested this exact same example for the alert techbnique now out for review but at that time reservations were expressed about using an example with other ARIA features in it. A bug in the role=alert technique out for review now was highlighted on Jan 21 ... example does not work with IE. (it is the same example in the new technique being reviewed now), which I have 'fixed' in this proposed draft. I wrote up this technique during Xmas week because of the concerns I had documented on Dec 17 and now under the heading Rationale.
