James, I updated the user agent notes for the technique and believe the sentence in the description needs to be deleted as a result: "Screen readers that support WAI-ARIA expose the region as a landmark and may permit users to navigate to it using landmark navigation keys". Refer Using the region role to identify a region of the page https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Using_the_region_role_to_identify_a_region_of_the_page Thanks and regards, Sailesh On 4/17/14, James Nurthen <james.nurthen@oracle.com> wrote: > The next regular working meeting for techniques for WCAG will take place > today (Thursday) at 4pm EDT > > I'm unsure what was discussed last week - but there is at least 1 > technique to discuss on the agenda at > https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Techniques_working_meeting_agenda . > Please add anything else you would like to talk about and also feel free > to attend to help others work through their techniques even if you have > nothing on the agenda. > > > The call details are as follows > > Meeting Information > Length: 60 minutes Date: thursday 10 April Time: 4PM EDT (8pm UTC) > Bridge: +1.617.761.6200 <tel:%2B1.617.761.6200> (US) > SIP: zakim@voip.w3.org <mailto:zakim@voip.w3.org> > Passcode: 9224# > IRC channel #wcag-techs > > -- > Regards, James > > Oracle <http://www.oracle.com> > James Nurthen | Principal Engineer, Accessibility > Phone: +1 650 506 6781 <tel:+1%20650%20506%206781> | Mobile: +1 415 987 > 1918 <tel:+1%20415%20987%201918> > Oracle Corporate Architecture > 500 Oracle Parkway | Redwood City, CA 94065 > Green Oracle <http://www.oracle.com/commitment> Oracle is committed to > developing practices and products that help protect the environment > >
