The use of the word "supports" is a little ambiguous. NVDA 2013.1.1 provides landmark navigation to all landmarks, including "form", but not "application". In that sense, in the context of providing easy navigation to various sections of a page, NVDA does not support the "application" landmark. At the same time, NVDA does, as Sailesh notes, enter focus/application mode when it comes across a container set with role="application" and in that sense does support it. Maybe use something like 'NVDA 2013.1.1 supports navigation to all landmarks except "application".'?
